Since 2023, Professor Sooriakumaran has worked with Avegen Health as their Lead for Urological Innovation, helping them develop an app for men recovering from robotic prostate cancer surgery.
The app has received widespread acclaim from patients and is the subject of an invited lecture at the British Association of Urological Surgeons annual conference.
In July 2025, Prof PS was appointed as Lead Clinical Advisor in Men’s Health for Emerald. In this role Prof PS will use AI to develop preventive men’s health strategies, personalised to patients based on individualised health and wearables data.
Medical Law
PS holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Law and is an experienced medical expert.

Medical Reviews and Advising
PS also serves as an Invited Reviewer for the Royal College of Surgeons, where he assesses NHS health services.
He also works periodically with health care consultancy firms and private medical insurance providers to advise on their pathway optimisation programmes aiming to improve services for patients.
In his role as Research Physician at Lindus Health, he is involved in clinical trial set-up and governance for patient-centred research studies.
